June 1, Imprint: This was the only other, high-seas, mental big screen I ever came across that would fit the bill. It is a great romance in every sense of the word.
A Mardha for All Time. The Following Sea It’s one of those that I didn’t put down until I read them all. Today, I finally figured it out: There was a ton of action and intrigue as well.
Canham is a master of words. I think more pages, going into further details about the characters, just as much as she did with the battle scenes and describing the ships, and I would have still read it all, and probably found it more enjoyable, and given it a better rating. Both this book and the sequel – The Iron Rose – are on my top ten most highly recommended historical romances list.

I loved Beau, and Simon is just as captivating as the other main men in Marsha Canham’s books.
This one was no different It has been a long while since I read these books, but I remember loving the series. Now that I rediscovered it and gave it another chance – it was great!! The mere mention of cnaham pirate books” would have me diving for cover behind the potted palms.

I prefer my romance with an undercurrent of laughter, but this book takes itself seriously from the start, with two characters who exhibit nothing but anger. I would recommend it to anyone!
Her characters are rich and strong and stay absolutely true from start to finish. He has his ship, a loyal crew and his love of the sea and he needs little else. I found myself wanting to know more about THEM and less about the battles and so on. I think this is probably my monlit thing about Canham’s writing in general: It was pretty easy to fallow and you couldn’t help but love the characters.
Want to Read Currently Reading Read. I was never much of a fan of pirate romances – especially lady pirate romances. But this aristocrat, with his beastly air and darkling glare ohno! Such a little known treasure. There sra a key scene where Simon finally pours his heart out and it would’ve been much more emotionally powerful for me if Beau had reacted equally as open. Why cant the fantasy ever be the reality. Has the world gone mad? The best part of this book was the banter between characters, in particular, Beau Isabeau Spence and Simon Dante.

I really enjoyed this feature of the book and because of it I felt Canham did an excellent job in telling the story.
