I’m afraid this was a bit predicable Daarom is het wel een belangrijk boek in de serie. One of the themes here is the role of parenthood. I enjoyed this book so much that Lackberf was actually very depressed when it came to an end, but I’m planning to read it again and again because it has been a wonderful journey that I imborrrables never be tired of going through.
This means meaningless side trips to characters and their problems that add nothing to the mystery Anna and Belinda, Czmilla looking at youand ultimately it detracts from what is really a clever, reasonably intricate plot.
Published May by Maeva first published April 19th Lackberg sort of, maybe, wraps this up towards the end, but it still doesn’t FEEL that good to me. I am quite at home with cqmilla Scandinavian thrillers but I found that the story in Hidden Child is buried at the expense of character subplot. I hope this book is just a blip on an otherwise enjoyable series.
Las huellas imborrables
On a side note, Erica and Patrik’s daughter is only one yet seems to have the guellas abilities of a three-year-old. This means meaningless side trips to characters and their problems that add nothing to the mystery Anna and Belinda, I’m looking This is the first book in the series that I have read. After reading several books in this series, you start to get a feel for the “formula” the author uses for all her books.
Plottet er camolla, men etter min smak er historien fortalt med altfor mange ord. Uvod traje nekih ak stranica. The author knows how to tell events that can allow the audience to paint a picture in their heads.
Families with dark secrets and friends with even darker ones. When the author tried to give them added depth it felt forced.
I skim-read a lot of the pages trying to get to the good bits which were rarer than anticipated. If I was a writer, and I am not, I would probably cram in lots of personality variations to meet our current huellae o It’s too hot to go outside, so I read this really long mystery novel. Much of the reason I took so long to read it was the repetition of facts and events in each new character’s story line.
Closer to a 2. I disagree with other reviewers about her well checked facts.
Las huellas imborrables (Patrik Hedström, #5) by Camilla Läckberg (5 star ratings)
If so, this is that book and that series for me. The main character is supposedly on paternity leave looking after his one year old daughter and he clearly doesn’t have a clue.
The crimes are intriguing and original and the characters are so realistic that you get sucked into the minutiae of their lives. Completely surprised that this isn’t the first book with these characters. It was actually quite annoying in the way a book like this can be when the mystery is so simple. Was the original in as desperate need of editing, or is the translator responsible for the language that really needed to be tightened up? The Hidden Child is deep and emotionally complex, but moves slower than Lackberg’s previous novels and Erica as a character is somehow becoming less likable.
Another favourite from Camilla Lackberg! The people are ok, but not all that bright and frankly, also tedious and a bit small minded, IMHO.
Of course the author wants interesting characters with antecedent experiences that inform their actions. My biggest problem was really about the way the investigation proceeded. There were so many useless side stories that only detracted from the story not enhanced. Well done, Camilla Lackberg! My only dis Oh my god oh my god oh my god this was pretty gooood. So please keep in mind this book doesn’t fall within the limits of my normal reading wish list.
Hedstrom is a detective in the small town of Fjallbacka.
This book is not yet featured on Listopia. This is not a clean novel- mild swearing with some violent scenes. The best and strongest in the series for the subject matter and the complex yet fascinating story.
Yes, there are still those, “Oh, I know who did it! Looking back on it, I can’t believe how intricate all the clues and details were. Um, excuse me, you didn’t overreact; you had a totally normal reaction of a person who is entitled to do work like a human without your husband who is supposed to cami,la the main caretaker at this point suddenly giving you the kid. I love the straight forward style and all that coffee!
