I enjoyed the interaction between Victoria and her little sister. But she was accepting and understanding and someone who would have your back, even against a bunch of vampires and witches. Each book can be read on their own as they feature a different couple.

Greene also continues to develop her unique concept of the vampire world without shattering our preconceived notion. He is a vampire king, who will do anything to save his clan from complete annihilation, before an ancient curse can claim his immortal life.
The two have an instant attraction but Victoria is no fool, she knows he only wants to caressec her so she continues her search as time and options run out. Aside from the two main characters, there were others that I really liked or that I am super curious about. The beautiful outfits, the tender embrace of the hero and heroine and the gorgeous colours. The secondary characters were just as riveting as the main characters and the ending came with a nicely unforeseen jolt.

The fact that every character was unique makes me fall in love with this book even more. Some he even respects.
He is what I call an onion character with a lot of layers to peel back and secrets within those layers. Too bad the respect factor is all we find out about him.

When Dorian’s clan is in danger and Victoria finds out what he really is can she accept him and can they save his people and themselves? The historical elements are delivered via memories but I could visualize it quite well. And right away the aunt makes Victoria her place in her house, b is lower than a spec of dust.

The only thing I was not happy about was how it abruptly just ended. This book propels us into the present and manages to keep the tension that I enjoyed in the first book alive and humming. I also liked the way the end of this one sets up the next book. It was also j.grdene to have Dorian and Victoria celebrating their anniversary of almost ammanda.
She lets people walk all over her and allow them to litterally destroy her life. This first book sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions.
