AcroExch error when inserting pdf object into Word doc.

I am trying to insert a PDF doc into Word, but keep getting the following error message: That program is not installed on your computer. To edit this object, you must install a program that can open the object”.

I can insert the file but it is linked to Adobe Acrobat. I need to share the Word document with others who may not have Adobe. Is there a way cconvert just insert the multiple pages of the file inself?

I can export the document from Acrobat Pro as a graphic but it creates a graphic for each page. There has got to be a better way. It works for me! I use Win7 with Adobe However I am not seeing the “enable protected mode at startup” or anything like it in the properties
