I didn’t know that these were so short but fun stories. It took me several mentions of the word ‘brownie’ to discover that they were not referencing chocolate treats. Reading all the chronicles together makes this a perfectly find chapter, but not a very good stand alone book. In the third book they catch their breath while visiting their “crazy” aunt Lucinda.

She says you kids should not live in that house. The entire series should have just been one book. Unfortunately, it’s not quite stand-alone, and in order to fully understand everything here – spiderwifk really must read the first and second books.

Im not quite sure why is this series split up to so many parts other then that it is suppose to be a children’s series. I also think any fourth grader would erupt into a fit of giggles over the fact that this book contains the word “ass” even if it means a donkey.


It irks me when authors do that. Nothing really happens and you read a whole book for one little piece of information.

Lucinda’s Secret is the third book in fe Spiderwick series. If it was one story I would think it was choppy since it’s still one book after another it’s really choppy and very confusing. They’ve found a fairy guidebook, and their uncle is missing. The kids made a deal with a band of elves and tricked them, and they saw their “crazy” aunt and lost their book.

They went to find out what happened to their uncle. The best thing about this book is that it is totally original. Thanks for telling us about the problem.
