If a book has an emotional impact, palatable to me, definitely, I would give it between 4 and 5 stars, regardless of what styles a writer uses. Her father agrees, wishing Gregor could understand them and would leave of his own accord. His sister remains to care for him, but only because nobody else will. The title is on that infamous classics list of mine, so I thought I’d give it another go.
View all 7 comments. Traditionally, critics of Metamorphosis have underplayed the fact that the story is not only about Gregor but also his family and especially, Grete’s metamorphosis as it is mainly Grete, woman, daughter, sister, on whom the social and psychoanalytic donksum of the text depend.
Grete, by contrast, has matured kafkw a result of the new family circumstances and assumed responsibility. Gregor is depicted as isolated from society and often misunderstands the true intentions of others.

I liked also all the reference with Kafla’s live. We’ll publish them on our site once we’ve reviewed them. The family had no empathy nor kafks they actually showed more anger at Gregor as if this transformation was his fault. It is unclear what Kafka was exactly trying to share or fganz through this ridiculous story. While Grete initially volunteers to feed him and clean his room, she grows increasingly impatient with the burden and begins to leave his room in disarray out of spite.
The title should be at least 4 characters long. Kafka’s writing attracted little attention until after his death.

Please review your cart. The Metamorphosis at Wikisource. But it didn’t mirror his life fully, he did it to break free from the world he lived but always put pieces of himself into the books. He ponders the consequences of this delay. There’s no explaination for it, and his family is only mild freaked out at the fact that he suddenly turned into a giant bug. Kafka’s first language was German, but he was also fluent in Czech.
This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Grete is Gregor’s younger sister, who becomes his caretaker after his metamorphosis. But I didn’t enjoyed reading this book. She is the character the title is directed at.
In his accompanying lecture notes, Nabokov discusses the type of insect Gregor has been transformed into, concluding that Gregor “is not, technically, a dung beetle. Why was this book written is beyond me? Gregor awakens and sees that someone has put milk and bread in his room. It was only 55 pages long, but it felt Return to Book Page.
