The plot line about hell being overcrowded and needing to evict people was relatively amusing but isn’t the whole “New York is Hell” sentiment rather tired now?

As a huge fan of the original filmI’d much rather see a GB3 where the ghostbustesr gang must strap their backpacks on for one last mission scrlpt without Murray, though he’d be sorely missed rather than see pretenders to the throne get the bulk of screen time. With a story credited to Aykroyd and Ramis, the game featured the evil Ivo Shandor opening up alternate dimensions to cause havoc in Manhattan—a plot point that was set to be explored in Hellbent.

Having now read this March draft, I can confirm that the sequel does adhere to that general plot line at least in this draft. I have plenty of Ghostbusters comics I need to make time for. Unfortunately, after years of stalling and false ghpstbusters, it was the death of Harold Ramis that really snuffed out the last glimmer of hope that the original cast could come together for one last adventure or maybe even two or three more.

Aykroyd and others kept plugging away, though, and throughout the s and s, Hellbent took on many forms. Over the years, a handful of Ghostbusters comic books, cartoons, and novels have acted as pseudo sequels for the franchise, but none of them have quenched the thirst of fans.

Despite his youth, Nat serves as a supervisor for the new GBs. I’ve never been a huge fan of TV series or films featuring “the next generation” of characters, with Star Trek being an arguable exception although I still prefer the classic Trek.
Now would be the time to do that. That’s all we ever get to know about these characters we don’t even learn their last names! I’m not exactly asking for brilliantly delineated characterizations here but even the original team had their own distinct personalities, voices, and senses of humor.
