I myself enjoyed this story as Jacqueline Wilson does have a great talent when it comes to writing stories which many children and adults can relate to, and also because she writes in such a way to make light of any situation which may be unpleasant. In this book, the heroine has a sister with an intellectual disability of some kind, and is scared of exposing her circle of friends and one bully to that sister at her birthday sleepover. This book is great as it talks about subject of disability which people tend to ignore or shy away from and children can relate to these stories, at the time it shows readers who have not been bullied or those who bully others how it makes people feel.
However it is a realistic story and one that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The main points that the book deals with are a new girl in class, a disabled sister and bullying. She may act shy when she is scared of Chloe, but I think it’s just because she is a bit afraid to stay lonely and have no friends at school.
