This book may be wordy, but it is very easy to read, nonetheless. THis book takes up right after the events of that book. Political action sci-fi, so there is not a lot in the way of gun fights or physical struggles, but it is well written and the characters really drive the story.

Crossing the Line by Karen Traviss
This is a worth follow up to City of Pearl. An excellent sequel to the superb City of Pearl. I had to rush off to get book three to see how it all plays out. Thirdly, Karen Traviss is an astonishing author. But the characterization of all four species, now keeps getting stronger. I’m very glad I discovered this author and excited that there are six books in this series.
I’m enjoying the depth of culture and history that we learn about the alien cultures. Item s unavailable for purchase.
Well, to be more accurate, several ‘unthinkable’ things that all happen in crossiing succession. It is well worth the read. For the first book, she takes us almost exclusively to Cavanagh’s Star.

You’ll find yourself re-evaluating your opinions of characters and alien races introduced in the first novel as nuances are developed and few are found to be as black-and-white, good-or-evil as you might have originally believed. If you are a seller for this product, would you like to suggest updates through seller support? Down Among tye Sticks and Bones. Maybe not quite as good as City of Pearlbut still a darn good read.
Traviss clearly has no need to hook the reader with trumped-up suspense. They were almost wiped out a few centuries ago by land dwelling colonists from another planet in the system. Other books in the series.
